I have made lots of bridal pieces over the Summer, for my Kokar shop.
They are unique, as I only make one of each, nevr exactaly the same.

This year for Halloween a fast craft:

Spider hairclips . Five Minutes.
Hot glue, barretes, a pack of 05 plastic spiders from dolarama

Done!

For a Princess Party...Princess Kate , Duchess of Cambridge

Hi!

Sofia had an invitation to got ao a friend's birthday party on Sunday.

A princess party.

Sofia does not have any princess costume anymore. Not buying any either. Sorry.

No problem!

Out went Disney Princesses and alike, and in came Princess Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge. HAHA

Modernity here we come!

She loved the idea, so I put it into action.

Ah, needless to say how thrifty it was.

She had this gorgeous dress ( by the way purchased at Value Village 2 years ago), so all I had to do was a beautiful fascinator and put a baby in her arms. Yes, baby George!

An engagement  ring is very important! It looks like this one belonged to her mother -in-law:)

 I made the fascinator with felt, feathers, fake pearls, hot glue gun and very expensive french netting....haha NOOOOO ! I used one of those tomatoes bags  I had kept in my craft pile as I knew someday I would use it:)

 So regal! lol

And off she went to her party!

Easy Felt Christmas Bows

I love bows, but not the fussy ones, the easy  ones!

These ones are so self explanatory!

I made her tiny ones, big ones and huge ones! made for friends at school as a Christmas gift and they all loved:)

My First Knitting Project ..finished!

It has been ages since I last posted here, and for this  I am so sorry.

My hubby went away for 10 days, I got so, so busy and also consumed  by/ with my new craft/hobby   (which I will show you here!)..knitting!

I just started and I am hooked it!

Just finished my first project and have many more in store :)

As with all of my projects, I first make something for Sofia.

My baby and her homemade cowl/neck warmer

So I decided to make an easy neck warmer and hair bow. To keep it at home :)

 Because ahem, I still did not learn how to make button holes I sewed the buttons with yarn.

Easy Halloween Clips

Hi!

I made these simple hair clips for Sofia to use during Halloween week.

How easy? Some buttons from Michaels, ribbon, hot glue and you have them in no time.

My "Nina" Ruffled Headband - a new design

Hi!

I am always trying to figure out some new designs for my hair accessories. 

I love the  look of   ruffled pom poms, usually with chiffon, but this time instead of making them in a circle or round shape, I decided to elongate them, to give them  an oval shape.

 This is how the ruffles turned out and I love this design!

Will name it "Nina":)

I will share the tutorial with you  all, gals!

 I used white felt, salmon chiffon , needle, scissors, pencil, invisible thread and hot glue

First things first:

Cut the oval piece of felt, whatever size suits you and your desire for drama !

 

Cut small rectangular pieces

 
Fold them lengthwise in half.

Fold again to form a square .


Cute a semi circle shape on top

(I am mixing fabric colors here as for some reason I can not find all the photos of the salmon color ruffle..does this spell disorganized?? :(

So here we go on with white:

Start stitching in the middle of the oval felt, as if you were gonna do a regular round shape ruffled flower

At this point you have a regular round flower/pom pom

Then , I started to add the fabric to  extremities of the felt, folding it in half to make it narrower  before stitching. This also gave the piece for more volume.

Continue attaching side by side and filling in.

Ready !

 

 

 Now attach to a headband or comb. Cut another oval felt to cover the stitches and help attaching it to the headband

Could not stop in one...so I made many many colors !!
