More Mason Pin Cushions

Mason Jar and Flower Rosette Pin Cushion

Hi!

Many of you know I  am a sucker for  mason jars ....and know that  love 

pin cushions  and many of you  also know that I looooove making fabric flowers.....

So, put  them all in a pot and something like this appears:

My very cute and sweet  distressed mason jar fabric rosette pincushion!! yay! yipiee!Do you notice how much I enoyed crafting this??

To make one yourself all you need:

A small  mason jar like this one, spray paint, strip of fabric, hot glue gun and half a small foam ball. 

Once more, in my anxiety to have this done, I did it at night in my basement and took no photos.

Anyways, the easy and straight forward process is in here. 

I picked this colours as they go with  my craft room perfectly

Then, I made a big rosette, big enough to cover the foam ball (half cut) and the jar lid. The pins here are just the way I roll my rosettes sometimes. I will  post about this way way to roll them soon!!

I glued the ball to the lid

Ohhhhhh, sweet!

Somehow it makes me giggly...

I will craft many more to put in my shop and flood the craft fairs this summer with them!

Yo Yo's

Hi!

Yes, yo-yo's, that's what I have been making lately, and I am  in love with them!

So many uses and ideas!

I can see them in pillow, headbands, hair clips, sashes, brooches, shoes, you name it!

The plus: sooo  easy to make them ! I have been using mainly silk and satin, but cotton also loves them!

Just cut circles the sizes you want (remember, for a statement size yo-yo you need a fairly large circle, I use plates), hand stitch loosely and pull the thread!

I use cups, lids of all sizes and dinner/salad plates.

Now I will embellish the centre with beads, tulle, feather,  buttons and they are good to go.

 Coming soon what I came up with!

Felt Monogram Wreath-Fall/Christmas

Hi!

If you remember this fall wreath I made for myself a couple of weeks ago, you will know where this new one comes from.

Well, a dear friend of mine  asked me to make one for herm with her family name of course, and it got ready!

She wanted red, as it will last until Christmas!

I must say that the rosettes I made this time are much more pretty than mine, and I happy for this too!

Fall Wreath II-Embellishing with Rosettes

HI!

If you read my previous post, my fall wreath got ready and after hanging at the door, as much as I like clean lines, I thought I could spice it up a bit.

So I used my favourite for this fall...felt and burlap, to make, of course, some flowers!

I made a burlap rosette, pretty much self - explanatory in the pictures below, and also a pom pom felt flower ( sorry, I do not have the photos as my battery went down and I could not wait to have  my wreath done). But there are loads of tutorials for this kind of pom pom flower out there, and I can post one here later.

Cut 2 burlap strips, one 24" long and 3"wide and another 48 "long and 3" wide, for a big and a smaller rosette.

Fold in half and twist the end and secure with hot glue

 From now on with the strip folded in half always, twist inwards as you go and secure with dabs of hot glue

 Rosette to go! I made another one, smaller

 The three of them together looks beautiful.... I used hot glue to stick them together

Because I want to re-use the twig wreath again, I put a clip on the back of the trio so I can removed it after fall is gone.....
