Up cycling a thrift store painting

Hi Everyone!

For those we follow my blog and craft adventures over the years, you know I LOVE chalkboard paint and using it in the most diverse way possible. These are a few I have done before, here, here, here, here  , here , and here :)

I had this huge painting , not original of course, ( the base was wooden board) I had got a while ago from Vallue Village, tried to funky it up with oil pen and it was a faaaaaaail! lol 

So it had been  getting dust in my basement ever since. Now that I am blogging again I decided to make something so I made this Bible verse frame. I plan to change the verse every week.

Materials:

Chalkboard paint

Foam brush

Small brush for corners

Sand paper

Spray paint 

Chalk

I spray painted the frame and the painting itself, then used the chalkboard paint with the foam roller

Sanded for a distressed look

Picked this week's verse

And ready!

From Gift Bag to Festive Pillow

Hi!

Back after some weeks away from here, I have been too busy, sorry my readers:(

Now pictture this: Me, waiting in line at Winners waiting my turn.

I glance at the cashier and see this beautiful fabric gift sac looking bak at me.

I whisper to him..." you are about to become a gorgeous festive pillow, my friend" lol

Perfect to match my woodland mantle theme!

AND AND AND..so thrifty!

Mini Bottle Lid Containers

Hi !!

STOP now!!!!! Never again throw your plastic bottons tops away and you will forever have mini practical  space-savers DIY containers you can use for :

-Camping

- Sleepovers

-Swimming

-Gym

-Short trips

-Night out

-Etc

-Etc

    -Etc....

Here is how to:

 You will need two bottles

 Cut the top of one and get the lid form the other as well

 Hot glue

Glue the other lid on the bottom

Embellish with Sharpie goodness

 My headache pills...

 It fits a lot of cream, shampoo, conditioner, pills , whatever!

DIY Up-cycled Travelers Louis Vuitton Notebook

Hi Everyone,

As many people STILL out there...I love paper! I am a paper girl, love to write down things and doodle, but NOT, NEVER in "e-things" such as Ipads, Iphonesso on and so forth...no...I love paper, oh yeah!

My most faithful companion is of course an agenda, my sweet and so dreamy Filofax Malden..this baby keeps me organized, mentally sane and stable:)

I also love travelers notebooks, but I decided not to buy one..why not make one?

Traveler Notebooks are  just a leather ( or fabric or sturdy card stock, or faux leather or anything!) cover and a series of elastics that keep your small notebooks inside attached and removable. 

So to make your own it is very easy and you will need:

1. Piece of leather, real or fake, or any material fit for a sturdy case- in my case I used a faux LV material from a thrifted  bag I cut up:)

2. Embroidery needle

3. Skinny Elastic ( found at dollar stores)

4. Scissors

5. Your notebooks or whatever you want inside
6. Cute charm - mine are from Michael's

 Cut to fit

 Mark up holes spots 

 Use needle to thread elastic

 Tie inside

 Tie them all

 Look from outside

Attach notebooks: i gave also my small New Testament inside

 Oh so pretty and small:) 

So....Now I want a big one too! lol

These notebooks are from Michales, $1.50 each

 A happy paper girl!

From Hot Plate Coaster to Needle Case in 2 steps !

Hi!

I saw these colorful hot plate coasters at the dollar store and  I immediately knew that I would not be using it as a coaster:)

All it took was:

- One button

- Piece of Felt

-Thread

- Sewing machine or hand stitching

For....a very useful Needle Case!!
