For a Princess Party...Princess Kate , Duchess of Cambridge

Hi!

Sofia had an invitation to got ao a friend's birthday party on Sunday.
A princess party.
Sofia does not have any princess costume anymore. Not buying any either. Sorry.
No problem!
Out went Disney Princesses and alike, and in came Princess Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge. HAHA
Modernity here we come!

She loved the idea, so I put it into action.
Ah, needless to say how thrifty it was.
She had this gorgeous dress ( by the way purchased at Value Village 2 years ago), so all I had to do was a beautiful fascinator and put a baby in her arms. Yes, baby George!

An engagement  ring is very important! It looks like this one belonged to her mother -in-law:)
I made the fascinator with felt, feathers, fake pearls, hot glue gun and very expensive french netting....haha NOOOOO ! I used one of those tomatoes bags  I had kept in my craft pile as I knew someday I would use it:)

 So regal! lol
And off she went to her party!

A Joyful Christmas!

Hi!

From our family to yours, a merry and joyful Christmas, immersed in the joy of knowing that the saviour not only  was born, but died, raised up from the dead and lives again and forevermore!

Luke 2:8-11
8 And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. 9 An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Saviorhas been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Playing with my camera on a snowy night...

Hi!
Sofia and I had a blast playing and taking photos with the snow falling heavily outside:)

Do not ask me how I did this, lol! All I did was to set the camera in AV, and move it around when taking the photo... not technical at all!

From Salt and Pepper Shakers to Mary, Joseph and Baby Jesus

Hi!
I know many of you will find me nuts with this one! lol

But what ca I do? hahah

I could not wait for Christmas to come for me to begin the transformation.

I had this shakers I bought at Vallue Village SPECIFICALLY for this, because when I saw them, well,  I did not see shakers but Mary and Joseph,  simply true! lol
I lightly spray painted both and lightly sanded.

Some felt I always have in my house, oh yeah, I love felt!
 A beard for Joseph...
Attach baby Jesus ( see how I made it here)
 A shinning star
And the blessed couple is ready.
Silent night, holy night, all is calm, all is bright!
