Thrifty and Colourful Permanent Calendar

Hi! I am in a constant search for the perfect calendar, and after many years, I hadn't ( did I say that in the past tense?) found the right one for me  and my family, but the search is officially over!
All thanks to Ashley, from the blog With a Sparkle.
I saw THIS last week and immediately knew I had to make one! Such a genius idea and perfect inspiration.

All she used was an old frame and  free, yes, free, free, paint chips! How simple and thrifty and genius is this????!!?
After seeing her calendar, in my next errands a stop at the thrift store and Home Depot was a must, so I did. The frame cost me 5 bucks and I used Spray Paint that I already had.
Colourful paint chips...

I have had this dollar store  sticker for AGES to put in my car, and NEVER used. Decided to use it here, as the calendar is mostly for Sofia's activities. She loved it!
I love how  can change everything so easy, no fuss at all..oh , my, Sofia's ( busy) life seems more organized now, all of a sudden..I am a happy momma!
Thanks, Ashley, for the inspiration!

Easy 5 Minute Ribbon Bracelet

Hi!
This is a very easy, yet cute piece for a darling girl.
I had this piece of pleated ribbon I bought at my local fabric store a while ago  and I had  some ideas of what to do with it.
Well, it is very very cute and girly.
So I started with a simple and easy bracelet  for my very very cute and girly girl.
I cut it  to fit her arm then added these clasps I got from Michael's( sorry, how do we call these, I do not have an idea..will check!)
And she is delighted with it,,she really likes it and wants to wear all the time, my cutie!

This would be so  cute and free of chocking hazards for a little baby girl as well!

Decorating Mugs

Hi!
This was an easy activity to make  with Sofia. She was very happy to make something for the house.
Porcelain special pens can be used as well, but a cheap and more available alternative is a sharpie pen.

After the design was ready, to the oven at 350 F for 20 minutes.
She picked a family design, mom and dad :0)
I must say that as an artist Sofia does not belong to the "impressionist" school of art, so I  hope she has portrayed me here in an "abstract"  way...
Well, this is mom :0)
At least I have a crown!

Girl's Profile I and Glazed Frame

Hi!
I really love thrifting mirrors and frames, mainly the one  that have  lots of details for me to work with. They are so much fun to  refinish, glaze, revamp, etc etc etc.
This small oval was  a perfect one for my project: a small profile of Sofia to put in my craft room.
( you can check what I did with the big red guy to the left here).

So, first, yes, of course, spray paint!
Next,  my easy small project glazing method: one part of acrylic craft paint (black) and 3 parts glazing medium
wipe off and it beautifully stays in  all  the nooks and crannies
awww...loving it already!
Now, to the second part of the project:
....Profile photo
...Print
I used tracing paper because I thought it was easier to see the real profile when traced, does it make sense I wonder...?
I then attached it to the black paper to cut

Add the glazed frame

An additional  shabby touch...
And there she is...
Sofia on the wall...
I loved this profile project so much that I came up with another one....easier!!
Coming up....
