Hi!
As promised here , I will show post by post the making of all thecute little things I made for a friend's baby boy's shower.
Like this diaper wreath!
The wreath: I can not say how much I enjoyed making it! and how much I saved! insane!
There are lots of diaper wreaths tutorials out there, all very cute, not my "invention" at all.
What I LOVE about mine is:
1. The $$$$$ saved , as I used thrift store ( new, not used) diapers (yes, they sell them there as well! Have I ever said how much I love thrift stores?)
2. My wreath form ..not bought....found it in my cupboard...a lost plastic lid ( big one) from those veggie trays you buy at the grocery for a quick gathering at home.
I cut the middle to give it a wreath form
Vey simple and straightforward. Just opened the diapers and put one by one in the form
Tied with blue and brown ribbons ( the colour scheme for the shower, with some orange here and there)
And the cute diaper wreath was ready in no time. Now, to the fun ( more fun) part: embellish it!
I bought all these cute baby boy stuff at the dollar store.
The only part which involved some glueing ( hot)
Then I tied a cute dollar store ( can u believe how cute he is??!) stuffed animal
Bring it one some cuteness!
Now, that is just too cool! I'm guessing you are frequenting the Kenmount Rd. location for your Value Village. I used to think that location was cool, with the upstairs and all. The one we have here is on one floor.
ReplyDeleteVery nice! I love the idea of the thrift store diapers. I never make these just because the diapers are so expensive and end up getting thrown out. Yours looks great!
ReplyDeleteThis is super cute. I always thought these would be hard to make. You make it look so easy. I would love if you shared it with my readers on my link party.
